Introducing Kermit's relative, Jeremiah. Found this handsome guy relaxing on a lilypad in one of the ponds connected to Blue Lake in Portland, Oregon on a recent outing. I nearly missed him altogether as this pond was almost completely covered in vibrant green lilypads and he is well camouflaged.
Because of the heavy cover of pads, the water's surface was absolutely still and provided an excellent mirror in which to capture this shot. This is a bit of a crop from another shot as I couldn't quite get this close but I think it's still a nice shot and I love the quality of reflection here. I have a thing for reflections anyway so for me, it's an instant favorite.
He must have eaten recently as he seems to be showing no interest in the bite of lunch that has landed right in front of him. Perhaps it's just too small a morsel to exert the effort for?
By the way, this is the same frog referred to in my other deviation "Needle in a Haystack".

Thank you so much Paula! This is an outstanding collection of work from some very talented people and I really am very flattered you chose my little frog prince to be a part of it. I truly have enjoyed looking at the galleries of the artists you featured and I've faved a few and will go back shortly to continue. In addition, I found one incredibly talented photographer who's galleries have mesmerized me for about the last hour now and I thank you for making that possible.
