Can you tell this is my favorite butterfly?

A Scarce Bambo, aka Green Longwing, aka False Malachite butterfly blends with his background but is in very stark contrast to the large, bright yellow blossom he rests on.

So glad you like this one so much. He was my absolute favorite and it seemed fitting that he was the species they had the fewest of so I really had to work hard to find good shots of him.

Kind of like a special treat I was allowed to enjoy sometimes.

I was afraid you would ask me that. I'm afraid I don't really know. I know many people here in DA list common names and scientific names of the things they shoot, but I've never been very good at finding those names. I just shoot what looks good to me.
