Originally designed as a business graphic for a program I found that allows you to make custom headers and footers for Mozilla Firefox [link] (the one I made from this image [link] and the original manipulation, fullsized without background, shadow and framing [link] ) I think this image of a blossoming Sakura cherry tree in the Japanese Gardens of Portland, Oregon turned out pleasing enough to post as a manipulation.
EDITS: I used a mask on the center portion of the image and desaturated it nearly to black and white. I added a black silhouette of a howling wolf, and painted him to stand out a bit more with highlighted head and chest, boosted remaining color saturation and used another mask to extract only the portion of the image I wanted to display. Added graduated background, shadow and frame.
This second version I also changed the background to a graduated black and gray to bring out the color in the image and changed the border at the suggestion of my friend, Ruth.
If a picture's worth a thousand words... I'm talkin' up a storm!

Thank you. I have to agree, the graduated black and white background do give it a totally different and cool look. Glad I have friends willing to make these suggestions for me when I miss the obvious. Did you happen to take a look at the Firefox program I provided a link for? It's pretty cool if you ever get tired of looking at the same old Firefox screen and want to dress it up a bit.
LOL...that's the problem of notes I'm glad to share my thoughts, and I'm glad to help and you're free to take or leave whatever I say and I won't be offended
as far as firefox...I don't use it but the idea is cool!
