Yazhi takes the high ground to oversee her territory. There were many "downed" logs laying across the top of the den and she has walked out to the highest point of one of them. When she is at full alert like this, she is at her most beautiful and a subject I can't resist!

Oh my goodness, thank you for opening this for use in stock. I have a very special image in mind for a friend on DA. I'll send you all the requested info once the piece is done. Beautiful, beautiful work.

Hello! I would absolutely LOVE to draw this if you would be gracious enough to grant me permission. I have plans to have an art opening in January and am looking for a wolf reference and this photo just screamed at me! I would have it for sale and would be willing to give you some commission, probably 10% since I doubt I'll be able to get what I really want out of any of my pieces, and a print, granted it might not sell at all but you would still receive a print for allowing me the use no matter what. If this is something that wouldn't interest you I perfectly understand. Your work is beautiful nonetheless. :) Thank you.

I would be happy to allow you to use this for a reference and your offer of 10% of any sales of it as well as a print of the finished piece is very gracious. I accept your proposition and look very much forward to seeing the finished piece. I have only one question...will there be any credit for my original photo in your show? I think that if anyone loves and buys your piece, it would be awesome if they could get information about me and my photography as well. Just a thought. You have my permission regardless. :D

Yes, I would be happy to give your photo credit as well, I do that with all my referenced pieces. :) I will be making info stats to go along with the paintings/drawings to give them an authenticity and I'll include all information there. Do you have a personal website you'd like me to redirect anyone to? I know some of my clients in the past have been a bit hesitant of DA.

Thank you, I appreciate your willingness to do the credit thing. :D Unfortunately, I do not have a 'personal website' but what I do have is my deviantart portfolios. Since I have it set up with my own domain name, your clients will not know it is even related to DA since the address is simply [link] On my portfolios, I have links to all my additional portfolios as well as a link to my deviantart galleries so they can see a sampling of my photos in the portfolios and only go to deviantart if they choose to do so. Will that work?

That should do well. I just no in the past I had a few people refuse to work with me because they associated DA with smut. Which can be the case but not with all of us. Alas, it's almost a stereotype. I'll be sure to include the link on the info card. :)

You're the first person that seems to think along the same lines as myself. It seems to me that when I'm asked if I have a site where my images can be seen and I tell them "yeh, lonewolfphotography.deviantart.com, they hear only the 'deviant' part and I never hear back from them. I think they picked a superbly strange name for this site and it hurts them more than helps them. I mean, we are called 'deviants' and our work is called 'deviations'. Lots of people have bad images in their minds about those kinds of words. Of course, the fact that there is so much nudity and in some cases, just plain porn that would really be stretching it to call 'art' doesn't help either.

Thank you for your cooperation.
