Buffalo Nickel by LoneWolfPhotography Buffalo Nickel by LoneWolfPhotography
Unbelievably large Buffalo poses for my camera and demonstrates the pose he used modeling for the old US nickel. :D Shot taken at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park of a free roaming Bison.

Beautiful capture Mark, there is something definitely spiritual about these creatures.

Yes, there is. They seem so primal, is the only word I can think of. In these two photos, I love the color of their skin and the contrasting color of their winter coats and how their winter coats are shredding off leaving them looking like they have some kind of cape on. :D

They do! I was curious about their coats, they looked patchy,
but now I know why, thanks Mark. :D

I think it's much like sheeps wool or like the coat of mountain goats....it falls away like decaying old curtains would....you know what I mean?

I actually do know what you mean, I was thinking the same thing myself.:D

Again, the breeze adds to the majesty. It is as if wisps of clouds were wafting off its body.
