The Brothers explore their new environment together, perhaps unsure enough to need to stick close by each other. These are the Cheetahs at the Oregon Zoo's newest exhibit, Predators of the Serengeti.

The lighting in this photo is gorgeous, I love how soft it is and how it serves to set a great mood. You managed to convey a feeling of motion in this photo and the cheetah's "faces" look sort of cute somehow. Great job on the capture and getting the zoo grass to not look so blown out like it tends to do. Something about zoo grass but it almost always looks too hot.
I'm not too sure about the crop in this photo, I find it a little distracting because of the amount of grass in comparison with your subject but that's something really minor and overall this is a great photo.
I love the soft lighting. I like the amount of grass, I agree it adds to the fluid running feeling of the cheetahs. The green and the orange are also a very nice contrast.
Thanks Michelle. I wonder if I should post a more tightly cropped version of this? I'm so easily tempted to, as I have done in the past, post several versions of the same shot, just cropped or edited differently. It's so hard for me to only post an image one way.
Mark, if you want to post another version, by all means do so! Is it so bad to be tempted to be nice and try to please your watchers?? Personally, I really like this one, but I am only one person.
