This is a preview of one of my next series, Autumn in the Gorge.
I took a road trip to The Dalles, Oregon on Saturday, the 17th of October. As usual, I hoped for a nice sunny day. Fate, however, decided to try and trip me up by giving me an entire day of storm clouds and rain.
Normally, I'd be disappointed about this, but on this day...the old adage about "every cloud having a silver lining" proved itself true. Although the "lining" was more golden than silver!
The quality of the afternoon, storm clouded skies served to diffuse the light and bring out the vibrant colors of Autumn in the Columbia River Gorge in a way that a sunny day would never be able to.
I sincerely hope that you will enjoy the explosion of color in this series as much as I enjoyed being in the middle of it.
